RISKY SUN IV

Welcome.

Risky Sun hosted by the Joint Operations Airsoft Calgary group is a 17 hour non stop Milsim airsoft game. The game features a command and control structure and relies heavily on vehicles for the duration of play. Players are brought onto the field via vehicles and are fully immersed into the airsoft game.

What to expect?

Risky Sun is planned Military Simulation game (Milsim) It is expected of players to follow the rules, follow the command structure and enjoy the game. There are unique planned scenarios, limited ammo, advanced medical rules with specialized roles, EOD roles, AT4 rocket crews and many other specialized roles.

What should I bring?

Risky Sun is a non stop 17 hour game. Players are expected to bring enough water, food, sleeping gear and anything else that they expect to need for the full duration of the game. Players are not expected to play the entire 17 hours straight and designated rest times will be planned by the command staff.

The Vehicles Of Risky Sun

JOC Technical

A repurposed pickup truck built by the JOC admin staff. This vehicle features all terrain capabilities, passenger capacity of 8 and is mounted with a medium machine gun.

Hemett

The Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) series is a range of eight-wheel drive diesel-powered off-road capable trucks, used by the US military. Formally described as "Truck, Cargo: 10-Ton, 8x8", it has been nicknamed the "Dragon Wagon". HEMTT trucks first went into service with the U.S. Army in 1982, as a replacement for the M520 Goer.

Transport Truck

The M35 Transport truck. Featuring 6 wheel drive and the capacity to carry 25 full kitted up players onto the field. The ultimate go anywhere vehicle.

Land Rover 110

A Land Rover Defender 110 formerly owned by the British Forces. Privatly owned by a club member it is currently in the process of being converted to a Desert Patrol Vehicle armed with two M240 machine guns.

Joint Operations Calgary (JOC) is Calgary's oldest, largest and most respected airsoft community. JOC is widely recognized as one of Western Canada's most active, influential and innovative airsoft organizations, boasting a membership of more than 1,800 players and 20 teams. JOCs members come from a wide variety of backgrounds and have a wide range of skills and experience who not only share a passion for airsoft but also a genuine commitment to promote and expand the sport in Canada. JOC members include students, tradesmen, engineers, information technologists and healthcare professionals, as well as retired and active-duty military and law enforcement personnel. JOCs club administrators plan and host dozens of local events throughout the year, ranging from small outdoor and indoor skirmishes to large-scale, immersive military simulations (Milsims), utilizing elaborate props and incredible military vehicles. In addition, JOC organizes several interprovincial and international trips each year to attend airsoft events in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, the United States and Europe.
